Egads! The War of the Worlds is Here!!

After some minor technical issues, we now have War of the Worlds posted below! (Just scroll down the page to find the audio player and hit the play button). Also, this recording is available at archive.com . Just search under "War of the Worlds" to find the Old Time Radio Theater's recording of it. Enjoy!

How the evening starts:

After everyone has pitched in to put up the set, set out seats, hook up mikes and turn on lights, we quickly decide how we are all going to maneuver ourselves to the mikes for the evening. The Jingle gals let us know what the order of "on air" commercials are, and the scripts are checked once again for sound effects that are needed. If we are missing a sound effect we stage a inconspicuous man hunt for the person who can best replicate the needed sound with their voice. Good thing we have David! Anyone want a hat to get in character? When is the intermission--are there good treats tonight? Chocolate cake!
One more look through the evenings roster of scripts to check that they are in order, we all make eye contact one last time to see if we "feel" ready, and then it's a go, showtime!
